This will not be a long-winded history lesson – but we would like to mention a few things we are particularly proud of…
1947
Atlasverken in Örebro established.
1953
Åke Persson purchases Atlasverken.
1955
Laxå Svets och Mekaniska Verkstads AB is registered with the authorities.
1961
We launch our first Quick Lock system.
1965
Åke Persson purchases Laxå Svets och Mekaniska Verkstads AB.
1973
Åke merges the companies and we change our name to Laxo Mekan AB.
1974
We move into newly built premises in Örebro.
1987
Inauguration of the new factory in Laxå.
1995
We are awarded ISO 9001 certification.
The premises in Örebro are extended.
2005
Tomas Himberg becomes the new majority shareholder.
2007
The premises in Örebro are further extended with a new welding and painting workshop.
2012
We robotise the factory in Laxå.
2017
Tomas Himberg takes over the entire business.
This is just part of the history of a company that is always breaking new ground. However, the story of LAXO does not stop here, but is continuing into the future. We will continue to develop flexible and profitable solutions for those of you who work on the road.
